I had the floors in my mid-century modern 1960s family home refinished by this company. I debated about what to do to restore my family home to its original brilliance. I had other flooring companies come in to offer suggestions. Everyone pushed me towards ‘engineered’ hardwood. But I really love the original real oak hardwood strip flooring. The living/dining room and one of the bedrooms originally had hardwood when the house was built in 1961. The other two bedrooms didn’t. I wanted everything to be uniform and consistent. When Jason came to look at the floor, he said it could be refinished one more time. I also locally sourced some oak flooring to match the two rooms that never originally had it. Toronto restoration took care of the whole job. The new flooring looked amazing and the old flooring turned out to be equally amazing and unless told you cannot tell the difference. Two of the bedrooms are side-by-side and when looking at them, they look like they were laid at the same time. Jason also recommended a Matte finish, which would hide the scratches from my dogs, nails and other wear and tear. Now I’m almost 2 years later, the floors look amazing! I’m very impressed with the work done by Toronto restoration. Jason was great at sourcing baseboards as well. I highly recommend this company, I’m sure you’ll be equally impressed with the job they provide.

I had a tight deadline to refinish my living and dining room, and not only did Jason accommodate, but he also kept me abreast of openings in his schedule if I wanted the job done even earlier. Never seen a pro care that much to help out a client with a (relatively) small job. When we originally did the floors, we made the mistake of choosing wirebrushed oak with a UV finish. Within a matter of a few years they were already filthy and stained to the point where regular cleaning did very little to help. Jason and his team took special care to level out the texture and even pointed out spots that required a more delicate touch so as not to compromise transition points between rooms. The floors now look and feel great, and all our interactions with everyone involved were excellent. Refinishing floors is not the sort of work where one becomes a regular customer but rest assured we will call upon Jason and his team when the time comes.

Jason was great to work with- excellent communication, timely and helpful. His knowledge of working within a condo was very helpful as this was my first time having work done and was unsure how everything would go. His team was efficient and friendly, the work space was prepped and kept protected, and after all the mess and floor refinishing returned to me very thoroughly cleaned. Jason provided photos throughout the process. The floor was refinished very well and has totally given my condo a new feel. Very pleased. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I initially decided I wanted to use these folks because communicating with them was really easy, simple and straightforward with no runaround overcomplicating things. They did a really great job on my floors. They were the only company who was willing to do exactly what I wanted as far as working with a more difficult to use water based finish, and they made sure to guide me to the necessary steps to get my floors looking new. There was a dramatic change with very damaged floors initially - when we stood on them the first time after the work, we could run and slide on our socks. It’s glorious. Love their work, they took pride and did everything I would hope someone who cares would do, all for a very reasonable price. As well, they worked with me when complications arose with my larger renovations and were flexible. See the before / after.. although i could have taken much better after pics, the result is perfection and the difference is dramatic.

What a breath of fresh air dealing with Jason and his team! From start to finish they restored our worn out hardwood floors and stairs to better than new condition. They were able to colour match the stain to the adjacent hardwood floors! Every step of the job was perfect! Recently had our hardwood floors refinished by Jason and his crew - after 20+ years, four dogs and regular family use the floors were looking pretty rough. I had concerns on how well they would be able to restore them but they look fabulous! We would even say better than new. Because we still have two dogs a third coat of finish was recommended but the job was still done in two days. The crew worked hard and were very professional. I have given the contact information to our contractor (for other renovations we have been doing) in case he has other clients in need of this service.

I needed 6 hardwood floor boards replaced in my kitchen. I called Jason very late on a Friday night expecting it to go straight to voicemail. However I was impressed that he answered and even scheduled a service call for the very next morning. Alex arrived on time and explained the process to me, assuring me it was going to work out. He was very skilled, polite, knowledgeable and finished when he predicted he would. The boards look identical to those surrounding them, and we are very happy with the work. We had an amazing experience with Toronto Restoration services. We were thinking of changing the floors, but after talking to them, we understood there's a lot of life left in them. The floors came out amazingly well. It looks so clean and crispy. We also had to add to some extra work about updating floors for entryway which was not level. They went beyond what was required and matched everything that it looks one unit. Really happy with their work.

Toronto Restoration Service brought our hardwood floors back to life - from dark stained solid oak to light and natural, brightening up our home remarkably. The team was very friendly and conscientious. They were careful with their work, and kept things nice and clean. We had wider boards that were almost impossible to find to repair a section - but they actually managed to track them down. Low VOC sealer and varnish kept the fumes down. Beautiful job and great experience. We enthusiastically recommend this company.

I was apprehensive about having my pre-finished oak hardwood redone. I had just had the house painted with new baseboards etc. The more I looked at the floor the more I knew it needed to be done. Jason and his team are great! Jason is so responsive to messages and follows up as well. Sign of a great business owner. He assured me the baseboards would be protected and they were. Jason runs an excellent business with his team, Alex & Oscar. They took over from the first company we'd hired to resand + refinish our kitchen floor. Company #1 had all kinds of problems with their rented sanding machine, with matching the stain to the original colour, & with dust/odour control. Toronto Restoration Services came in like knights (or artists) in shining armour. Did a perfect job sanding out the gouges, refinishing with perfect match to the original flooring, dust suppression, low odour (because of high quality filler, stain, varnish), and all of the above in really great time. Great communication and efficiency. Did exactly what they said they'd do in the promised 1.5 to 2 day time frame.

Jason and his team completed a four-surface renovation of our condo (hardwood floor refinishing, popcorn ceiling removal, walls patching and painting). Throughout the process Jason was very easy to communicate with and the job was completed on time and on budget with his employees working nights and weekends to get the job done. After attempting to have someone sand and finish 100 year old hardwood floors that had old vinyl tiles removed, my daughter and I knew we had to hire a professional floor refinisher. This floor would be the first big project in the renovation of a retail space for a vintage clothing store. The work by Jason and his team did take time as the floor needed repairs done to remove old pieces of floor that were damaged. Then the sanding with a 30amp powerful machine that was up to the task was done. Jason worked with us to get the stain colour we envisioned, then a sealer coat and finally 2 coats of an oil based satin finish polyurethane. All of this took time but the end result was well worth it. This store is now open and customers often mention how beautiful the wooden floor is. Would highly recommend Jason and his team because they were very professional, stayed in contact while the work was going on and left the space after the job was finished very clean. I wasn’t sure if my hardwood floors were salvageable so Jason came, he and his crew removed some damaged strips and installed new, sanded, stained, sealed and clear coated the entire upper level of my house plus the stairs. Then he arranged for baseboards to be delivered and installed. This looks like a different house now, and he managed to squeeze me in on short notice and completed the entire job before Christmas. I highly recommend this company.

Had Jason and his team add 75 ft.² of red oak tongue groove flooring and finish it along with 250 ft.² of existing flooring in my downtown Toronto condominium. Jason and his team did an exceptional job saving the day for us! We had a different company refinish our floors, only to completely misuse the varnish and give the floor a horrible shine - when we clearly told them we wanted a matte finish. We found Jason and his team online - he came in same day (9pm!), gave us a very reasonable quote, and started the work a few days thereafter with a very premium varnish. I had some water damage on a section of hardwood floors. Toronto Restoration Services were able to limit the board replacements to 6. They filed down the edges of the cut boards and stained them. So that all four edges had a factory look. The end result was a clear match to the original floors. I will use this Toronto Restoration Services in the future. These guys are real pros…

I chose Toronto Restoration to refinish my floors because Jason was so responsive in the beginning to all my questions. This communication continued throughout the entire process. When I met his team, I was a bit apprehensive because they all seemed so young, but they very quickly showed a high degree of professionalism. There was a small flaw in an otherwise well-finished floor, and Jason immediately offered to fix it with a third coat the following week and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. Thank you!
